Products We Use

The Products that we use here at Air-Art Custom Paint and Airbrushing are only top notch. We firmly believe that the only way to achieve a show quality finish is to use the best automotive finishes available. We do not talk down any product lines, there are several high quality products on the market such as Dupont, Sikkens, Sem etc. However, we have chosen our products through our own trials and tribulations.

At Air-Art we prefer to use the House of Kolors and PPG product lines. Art's opinion is that no other product line currently provides a better base platform than the HOK Shimrin bases and Pearls. For today's tight airbrushed murals and graphics, the HOK transparent Kandy Koncentrates are unmatched.

Art likes to use PPG bases for colour matching when required and he also likes to use PPG products for his Epoxy primers, and high-build primers. Depending on the application, Art sometimes prefers to use HOK's KS10 primer sealer.

For clears, only High-Solids will do at Air-Art. Depending on the application we tend to use the PPG DC3000 fast HS Clear and their Global line of High Solids clears. We sometimes import a high solids European clear produced by AllChem Virtus and brought into North America by Coast Airbrush of Anaheim CA.
